Join the Eat Local Challenge and get a taste of all the great local food and festivities you can enjoy throughout the fall!
The Eat Local Challenge (ELC) is a week long celebration of local food in our community. From October 25-30, 2010, we invite you to enjoy featured “ELC” autumn specials at local restaurants, take part in community food-focused events, and explore fun “on your own” activities that will help you and your family celebrate the fall harvest.
Pick up your ELC scorecards (that will guide you through the week and help keep track of completed activities) at the Center for Service and Civic Engagement, or in town at Swindler and Son’s Florists, Jen’s Deli, or the Clinton County Visitors’ Bureau. You can also download a scorecard HERE.
You will receive a sticker for every activity you complete at participating businesses. “On Your Own” activities are on the honor system – so just initial those activities as you accomplish them. Once you have completed at least 6 of the events included in the Challenge, you can enter to win over $100 in local prizes. Just drop your scorecard off at Swindler and Son’s Florists throughout the week to be entered in the drawing. All scorecards must be entered by 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 30th. The drawing will take place on Monday, November 1st.
